E-Commerce Website Development for a Gifts and Home Decor Retailer
Donna’s Gifts and Home Decor, a local gift shop and retail store, engaged Optimum in mid-2015 to implement an eCommerce solution that enables the retailer to display and sell it’s products online. Due to a large number of products available for sale, the retailer needed a complete and comprehensive inventory management and order fulfillment solution to fully manage and fulfill the online orders.
After conducting discovery and requirements definition sessions with the client, Optimum initiated the eCommerce and Online Store implementation project. First, we started by documenting project requirements and functional specifications and analyzed those requirements to determine the perfect eCommerce platform and approach to fulfilling the client’s needs. Our team of eCommerce developers and experts determined that the best implementation would be a custom eCommerce solution in WordPress (using WooCommerce) to allow for increased solution flexibility and enable the client to easily manage the content and product inventory.
Our team implemented the online store solution in less than two months and provided the following features and options to the gift shop:
